Vision Care Services, Asheville, NC

Vision Source of Asheville, NC offers a wide variety of vision care services for your whole family!

Vision Source of Asheville offers a wide variety of vision care services for your whole family. Our office is located in Asheville, North Carolina, and we enjoy providing eye care to those who live in and around our community. Our optometrist, Dr. Michelle Reames, has nearly 20 years of experience, and we also have a team of staff members who are dedicated to making sure your experience is a positive one.

One helpful aspect of the vision care services we offer is partnering with a local optical laboratory.  Not only does this allow us to support a small business that is located right here in our community, but this also provides our customers with the wonderful benefit of being able to have their glasses dispensed to them days sooner than other labs allow.

Our vision care services include:

  • LASIK – This surgical procedure uses a laser to reshape the cornea and significantly improve vision. Most patients who have LASIK surgery no longer have to wear glasses or contact lenses after the procedure, and it is considered one of the most permanent ways to correct vision impairment. At Vision Source of Asheville, we have an experienced provider who can determine if you are a good candidate for LASIK, and also provide excellent post-operative care close to home.
  • Optical Dispensing – Our skilled opticians will help you choose frames and lenses that will give you the best possible improvement to your vision.
  • Preventive Vision Care – The best way to prevent serious eye problems is to see your eye doctor on a regular basis, since he or she can watch for changes and catch problems early, when the success rate for treatment will be higher. You can also prevent problems by eating a nutritious diet, not smoking or using tobacco, staying hydrated, and using protective eyewear during dangerous situations that can cause eye trauma.
  • Eye Diseases – Dr. Reames can diagnose and manage a wide range of eye diseases and disorders, including glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, and more.
  • Eye Exam – An eye exam is an important part of your overall health, so make sure to see Dr. Reames on a regular basis for personalized vision care services.
